I found it tough to get out of bed this morning, this hasn't happened in a long time but my anxiety isn't something that will disappear. 
Everyday is a battle.

Whether it’s stress, depression, anxiety, or lack of sleep, there are times when getting out of bed in the morning may feel overwhelming or difficult. 
I've found that not focusing on the day ahead and just to focus on taking small steps, even if that is to the door 🚪, then I will give myself the "next goal" which could be have a shower or get breakfast 🥞 and before I know it I am up and moving; getting things done. 
But the most important thing I do is not to look at my phone or go onto social media. I focus on what I want to do that day and how I am going to do that by giving myself goals etc day. 
There is days that I've had goals and they didn't happen as something happened that changed the direction. I tell myself tomorrow is another day and a new day for goals. 
So take those small steps each day. 👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣

Feeling grateful as hell for the community you can find on Instagram. As with any platform there are toxic, hateful communities, but then you find ones like @phatmahmah has created and it's just such a beautiful, welcoming, relatable and informative space where there is honesty, and love and acceptance. So while the last few days have been a bit of a shitstorm for me mentally - I'm glad that even when I am physically unable to be around people, connections are still able to be made on here. .

Meet our staff. Kirsten has experience working in both the public and private sectors.  Kirsten has experience working in public mental health, acute care and community services.  Kirsten currently works in a forensic setting as a wellbeing officer for staff where she delivers individual assessment, therapeutic consultations, critical incident debriefing and assists staff dealing with PTSD.

Whoop I’ve been paid...🎉 One thing I’ve learnt in this journey is pay yourself first! 👊 £1000 now saved 💰and £405.78 towards debt (CC, loan and phone) 💳📱🧾most I’ve put towards debt this year!✨I find saving now very rewarding especially when I see the the amount getting bigger however I just can’t do the same for paying debt yet it really hurts me paying it.

A coach I worked with long ago used to say, “It doesn’t matter how much you love your partner. What matters is whether or not your partner feels loved.”
That eery statement has never left me.

Someone can bring us the most extravagant offerings of love.
Someone can shower us with endless acts of service.
And yet, we can still feel deeply alone amongst those offerings.
.
.
It doesn’t mean we won’t appreciate those offerings.
I think most of us do.
It doesn’t mean we won’t want those things from time to time.
I think most of us will.
But I believe that nothing compares to someone taking the time to discover the unique and particular way our heart longs to be touched.
.
.
I know for me, nothing will ever compare to someone engaging me with with deep, curious, and attentive questions.
Without those things, I feel deeply alone.
I have had trouble understanding myself for as long as I can remember.
I have done many years of coaching and therapy.
And yet it is still extremely challenging for me to pull myself out of my own shell.
It is an excruciating edge for to voluntarily share myself with others.
I feel most loved when someone takes the time to ask me thoughtful and caring questions.
And I feel most loved when someone shows their excitement and receptivity towards my responses.
.
.
Most of us know of the love languages.
Most of us know that we have a preference of how we feel (most) loved.
And yet I wonder how many of us actually advocate for those needs.
.
.
I wonder how many of us actually speak up when we are feeling disconnected from our partner.
I wonder how many of us have left relationships simply because we were afraid to truly own what we really needed.
I wonder how many of us have pretended not to have any needs because so much of our culture continues to preach extreme self-reliance.
.
.
I know I surely have.
I’m learning to practice communicating this need more and more these days. 
And I’m learning to pay much closer attention to the unique way in which my partner feels most loved too.
