This is my favourite ABS exercise 🔥💫

I love doing hanging leg raises as I believe they are one of the best exercises you can do! Especially on the functional trainer, as it allows you to fix your upper back against the pad so you can keep a nice tight core but you also get more of a stretch on the abs as well 👊

Give it ago if you have the equipment In your gym and you will definitely feel the difference compared to conventional leg raises!

Been awhile since I was able to put some effort into my posts. My time is mainly split between work, gym, and my business team. Its been an adjustment, adding in to what feels like a second side hustle, but its one that has become my present and my DEFINITE future. Feels good to be chasing your dream.

Im still figuring out how to prioritize and time budget my schedule but some sacrifices are going to have to be made in order to chase the MAIN goal of becoming a successful leader and entrepreneur. Which yes, might mean less gym time. But I'm ok with that. The gym is a big part of my life and I will NEVER give it up, but I'm willing to sacrifice some gains to reach a much bigger outcome.

Spider curls: When it comes to training the biceps, simply doing more sets and reps won't cut it. The problem? Most lifters are hitting the SAME parts of the biceps over and over again while completely leaving out – or at least under-stimulating – other parts. You need to hit both the long and short head of the biceps brachii (as well as the brachialis). Spider curls target the short head of the biceps. The big advantage of spider curls over preacher curls is the constant tension, especially at the top portion of the movement.

The slower negatives allow more time under tension during the eccentric or lowering phase, where we can handle more load. This allows you to work at a higher intensity, and higher intensity means greater stress which means greater adaptation.

Hamstring Strain Series Part 1: Building Capacity 🤸🏾‍♂️⁣⁣

Hamstring Strains are extremely common in sports that require high speeds of running or kicking. ⚽️🥅⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Most hamstring strains/injuries are proximal (closer to the ischial tuberosity aka towards the hip). The reason for this is that when doing tasks like high speed running, the hamstring muscle is a lengthened state and due to weakness, it cannot handle the force needed for the task. 🔐⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The goal with physiotherapy is to improve tissue tolerance and capacity by gradually reintroducing load and building back. I also love to add in end range tasks so that the tissue is prepared to the handle forces it will endure during sports. ⚠️⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Initially, the goal is to have exercises that are pain-free and then slowly build the hamstring through isometric, isotonic and, eccentric phases. 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Remember research has shown that you should start with early intervention in the case of a hamstring strain for the most optimal results! 🙀😻⁣⁣

As always these are general guidelines and I would always recommend seeing a practitioner to ensure you can work on other areas of weakness/synergists. ⁣⁣

- Losing weight isn’t the same as losing body fat and vice versa. The scale helps track whether you’re eating too little, too much, or the perfect amount for your goals. DON’T let it be the be-all and end-all of your fitness journeys. •
- Invest into your knowledge of health, fitness, and nutrition instead of that Starbucks or burrito (okay, maybe the burrito) and I promise it’ll be worth it in the long run! Save yourself some time and do it now instead of later 🤷🏽‍♂️

Qwin is someone who has made a huge impact on my life. He pulled me out of an eating disorder that almost killed me and literally saved my life.

It’s because of Qwin I started lifting weights.

It’s because of Qwin I changed my major from music to exercise science.

Tbh, I could go on and on about how much he has done for me and and how he changed me for the better, but I think it’s enough to say that he’s my best friend and I’m a completely different person because of his friendship. I’ve never met a more genuine person than Qwin.

We are both driven to change how things work in this industry and to make our mark in a more positive way than what you see projected on so many social media fitness accounts.

For now we will continue to do what we know is right and stay true to our core values that have driven both of us from day one. We are determined to be the change we want to see in the fitness industry and help those who also want to be a part of our mission.

Hey there! First video coming at-ya live, keeping it simple on today’s shoulder movements to give you guys something to do for your next gym sesh! All weight is different for each person, so start where feels comfortable to you! When preforming each set remember to focus on your form and the mind to muscle connection.
1️⃣ Dumbell side lateral raises- 3 sets of 12

2️⃣ Barbell upright row- 3 sets of 10, increasing weight each set

3️⃣ Dumbell shoulder press- 3 sets of 10-12, increasing weight each set

LONG POST AHEAD 🤪💯 Hello all you top lads and lasses out there in Instaland ;) hope you're all having a great day, achieving those goals and most importantly, chopping those excuses down and putting them through the wood chipper! 💯 had myself a great day in the gym today with @pebbles092019 , hit 70kg on the bench with much more ease than last time, 60 on the incline, two sets of each, gave my shoulders a good go too (been a bit lazy on the shoulders lately :( need to get back onto hitting them properly 💪) plus a solid core run. All in all, feeling pretty proud 💯 there's nothing better than the feeling you get when you accomplish something, and once you feel it regularly, it's as addictive as anything else could be, and believe me, it's worth every second! Don't let anybody hold you back, if you feel you're being judged, bloody LET them! Most judgement is born of jealousy and besides, if they've got time to judge, that's time THEY are wasting that they could be using to achieve what you are achieving! And that's THEIR loss guys, they aren't worth a second of thought! So let's get it done everybody, let's DO IT! 🤪

These are my top 3️⃣ tips when trying to gain muscle 💪🏼⬇️⁣

1. Be in a caloric surplus- you can alter how much of a surplus you’re in to help gain minimal body fat while you’re gaining muscle⁣

2. Work your ass off in the gym- use progressive overload and RPE to help control this ⁣

3. Allow for recovery- make sure you’re not only getting enough sleep but good quality sleep, if you don’t recovery, you can’t grow!⁣
