🛒Week 8 BULK Shopping🛒 at @samsclub
I did have to stop by @walmart to pick up a couple things that Sam's didn't have. Do you shop at Sam's or @Costco? How often to you buy in bulk? For me, it ranges from 2-4 months. ▪️◾◼◾▪️◾◼◾▪️◾◼◾▪️◾◼◾▪️◾◼◾▪️

I baked the frittata 3️⃣5️⃣0️⃣° for 2️⃣2️⃣ minutes (I used a jumbo muffin pan). I'll try another recipe next week.

In addition to all the actual food, each day I have a whey protein shake after the gym in the morning, and a casein protein shake before bed.

I got the frittata recipe from @pinterest  3️⃣5️⃣0️⃣° for 2️⃣2️⃣ minutes (I used a jumbo muffin pan). I'll try another recipe next week.

I cooked all of the veggies in a wok. Broccoli slaw, sliced brussel sprouts, bell peppers, onion, and spinach. A little bit of butter, some olive oil, salt and pepper, cilantro, oregano, basil, garlic, and ginger. 👌🏼

I cooked the ground chicken and beef in a pan with some seasonings, then added them to the cooked veggies. .

I got the frittata recipe from @pinterest  3️⃣5️⃣0️⃣° for 2️⃣2️⃣ minutes (I used a jumbo muffin pan). I'll try another recipe next week.

I cooked all of the veggies in a wok. Broccoli slaw, sliced brussel sprouts, bell peppers, onion, and spinach. A little bit of butter, some olive oil, salt and pepper, cilantro, oregano, basil, garlic, and ginger. 👌🏼

I cooked the ground chicken and beef in a pan with some seasonings, then added them to the cooked veggies. .
In addition to all the actual food, each day I have a whey protein shake after the gym in the morning, and a casein protein shake before bed.

My guilty pleasure, Changs Mongolian Grill. Despite being a cheesy chain, it's actually not such a bad place to eat out if you are Keto or Paleo...just steer clear of the noodles (and be weary of the oils/sauces.) I loaded up on the beef, chicken, salmon, sprouts, cabbage, spinach and broccoli and seasoned with sesame oil, soy sauce and garlic. I likely overdid it on the protein and my ketone level will suffer, but damn it was good.

I got the frittata recipe from a YouTube video, here 👉https://youtu.be/lFnY-gh6lXE 3️⃣5️⃣0️⃣° for 2️⃣2️⃣ minutes (I used a jumbo muffin pan). I'll try one of the other recipes next week.

And I’m back in the game!
After a almost 3yr sitting out strengthening back from a car accident. I entered the women’s masterclass strongman comp 🏋🏻‍♀️ down in Dayton KY Sept 28th. and kicked some ass.
Had a great time with everyone. Cheering others on and kept going! Of course my friend Jen keeping up with me she’s coming for my gold lol I wouldn’t want it any other way! We are on our way to dominate!
Have some more strength to build and work on small mistakes but that’s how we get better! And of course working on keeping ego in check 🤦🏻‍♀️ Was a great day and I’m glad to be back on the playing field! Here we go!

First order from @porterroad came in this week. I ordered two of everything!! So far, we've tried the filet mignon, Denver's steak, rib eye and the sliced meat.
My 1 year old walked away with my filet mignon and enjoyed it for me. It was so tender he had no trouble chewing it.
Going to prep some meals this weekend now that I have time.

Why is everyone obsessed with protein shakes?

“I only need to worry about calories to hit my fitness goals”

The only actual way to build muscle is through protein synthesis. So YES you need it. There is so many fun ways to get it in to your diet, it doesn’t have to be a chore.

Protein creates muscle, having muscle makes your BMR higher, which means your body will burn more calories throughout your day!

Your body even uses about 30 calories to even digest the protein you consume.....UHMMM YASSS two birds with one stone!! Plus you feel full for longer avoiding some random munching.

About 1/2 of your body weight in grams a day is plenty....people that eat about 40% protein vs people eating about 20% protein burn like an extra 100 cal a day which boo a 100 cal but over a long term course of like a year that’s about 40,000 calories = 9lbs!

As an ex-gymnast and personal trainer, I'm kind of obsessed with protein shakes and smoothies. I find them a fast, delicious and convenient way to hit my protein targets and get a nourishing meal in (particularly when I add in a truck load of spinach to the blend). However, I recognise that not everybody likes a 'liquid meal' and they can be inconvenient to carry around (sometimes tasting a bit gross once you've left the house and are consuming them, lukewarm on a busy peak hour tube). If you're one of those smoothie-hating people you can still use and get the benefits of protein powder by making all sorts of high protein, delicious, fried or baked goods. I have used the delicious @formnutrition plant-based protein to make these bad-boys (pictured) and I intend to continue to use it for a series of high protein, sweet snacks; muffins, cupcakes, banana bread (which by the way should always be toasted and buttered - the Aussie way).
