This little gem of wisdom is probably quickly learned when you become a parent. I have not found any other experience in life that was as humbling as having my son. I had thought I had a certain wisdom, intellect, thoughtfulness all blown asunder after my son entered this world. Now I find the knowledge of not knowing much liberating. It's funny, but even as I get older and in some ways wiser the more I realize how little I know about anything. Instead of feeling anxious about this I find it a huge relief and liberating.

hamstrings

quadriceps

To do this:

Lie down on your stomach.

Allow your arms to rest alongside your body with your palms facing up.

Bend your knees and bring your hands to the outside of your ankles.

Lift up your head, chest, and knees.

Breathe deeply and gaze forward.

Remain in the pose for up to 30 seconds.

On exhale, release the pose.

Place one hand on top of the other to make a pillow for your forehead.

Gently shake your hips from side-to-side to relax your lower back.

You may repeat this pose one or two times.

Taking a break from my regular programmed Christmas photos with a beach one🤷🏼‍♀️😍 today’s our last day in Florida and I have been loving all the sun shine. It’s crazy how a little sunshine can instantly brighten my mood! Today we’re planning to rent some bikes and have some fun exploring!

If I can do it so can you! It’s okay to fall back and be discouraged, I get it I really do. I often feel discouraged especially on bad flare days but yoga does help a lot with pain management in the long run. Most of the time it’s not pleasant. I wish I was enlightened or “normal” to move so smooth in yoga but I know those that make it look easy worked and are actively working hard to make it look easy. My first pic might be a little too advanced for chronic pain sufferers and new to yoga in general but you can adjust it to you like in the second picture. & for the third, planks are great to build strength for poses and in general. I’m so proud of myself making the best out of every day 🙇🏻‍♀️my heart goes out to all that feel stuck. Somethings may not go away or they may but they sure won’t get better if we are in a stuck mentality #fibromyalgia #hypothyroidism #genemalfunction #somaticsymptomdisorders #yogi #yogaforwellness

This is not a joke I am sick again so I went to the doctor last week and got on some stronger medicine to hopefully kick this horrible month long head cold😩
I’ve missed my headstands!
So I pushed through and after 4 flows my head was killing me and I thought my eyes were going to pop out of my head😂 I couldn’t stop laughing how horrible I looked🙈🙈 HAPPY MONDAY!!

Where do you find your ‘flow state’? I like to consider 2 main factors that I like to be broadly equal:
.
A)The stresses and challenges of life
B) My set and level of skills
.
When A is greater than B I’m far from content! When B is greater that A I’m bored and unfulfilled. When A and B are roughly equal, I feel I can flow through life and enjoy the ride!

This Asana is called Butterfly. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
One of my favorite poses in the morning or evening to let go and strech my inner thighs.⁣⁣

A short story I read from⁣⁣
a native American legend that says,⁣⁣
if we capture a butterfly and whisper a wish to her, she will carry it to the Great Spirt.⁣⁣
By setting the butterfly free, we show respect for the balance of nature, and the wish will surely be granted.

Today’s prompt: Which yoga pose makes you feel more alive? Why?
🤔🤔🤔 I guess is handstand.
Cause I have to be super focus of my entire physical body and breath to keep the posture as long as possible, of course against the wall. Also off the wall, I have to be very concentrated cause this pose is challenge for me, It still feels a bit scary off the wall and off the mat, in the street for example 😅 but despite of the fear I talk to myself like encouraging me, like yes you can do this! 💪🏽 so I do it anyways 🙂I just try to calm down and enjoy it. But if I have the wall close by, or any tiny bit of support I can do lots of shapes and I love it ☺️💜
