Therapy is a process you have to be ready for.

It involves mental, spirutal, and even financial readiness. It requires that you reconcile with the reality that therapy may and may not be the right fit for you. And it requires that you supplement therapy with other healing methods. 45 minutes a week isn't going to miraculously heal a lifetime of trauma. But intentional practices outside of the therapy space can make it more likely that you will experience healing.

And when healing is a priority, you will put in the time and committment to be well.

These young ladies are pushing the boundaries within #stem participating in this Olympic style robotics competition to address the challenge of #oceanpollution .
The FIRST Global Challenge, a not-for-profit organization based in the United States, invites nations from across the world to send their teams to compete in a Robotics Olympics themed around the greatest challenges facing our planet. 
Representing India at this fascinating global challenge in 2019 is a team of five girls — The Geared-up Girls Team — from grades 9-12 from 4 schools.
All the five girls have gone through a rigorous selection process that involved four rounds of technical interviews. They were pitted against 20 teams vying for the prestigious spot to make it to team India.
The girls are extremely passionate about robotics and spend most of their after-school hours, building robots. They have learnt to apply the principles of mathematics and science in real life scenarios to build robots. In the process, they have learnt teamwork, communication and acquired leadership skills that have benefitted them immensely.
Their mission is to empower and enrich the lives of women by inspiring them to pursue STEM.
The Geared-up Girls team has started conducting training programs and awareness camps. They are also mentoring children with an emphasis on making STEM education and robotics more inclusive. 
The girls are actively involved in teaching STEM to underprivileged students of Dharavi and hearing impaired students of Sankalp. They are also raising funds to support an all-girls team to participate at the First Lego League.. Have a good luck girls. So Proud of you.

sometimes you don't feel like being brave (well, when do we ever feel like it?!). it means finding hope when things seem hopeless and trusting that you are going to be ok- it can be so hard. my sisters and our mum have had to be brave especially in the last few months through our mum's health crisis. thankfully we are seeing improvements in her condition and we, as always, are hoping for the absolute best for her. make sure you congratulate yourself for all the times you have been brave. it's not easy but your courage makes all the difference. #brave

On the 10th October was world mental health day, and South Africa has dedicated the month of October to mental health awareness. I started writing a post then stopped, I tried to portray how much I have changed with regards to mental health after having a child but just couldn’t seem to articulate things without sounding like a debbie damper or feeling like I had no right to complain seeing as I am very lucky to be able to afford childcare, as well as mental health care. BUT I watched the @meghanmarkle_official clip and the pathetic responses from ignorant bone heads and I thought “fuck that, we need to all speak the truth”. This pic is so much of what motherhood is... we put gorgeous baby in front and we suffer quietly behind the scenes. This last 18 months has been bloody hard, but what has transpired is that the years leading up to my pregnancy were hard too and I never did anything about it. So when I was asked by our amazing relationship coach to see a female doc specialist to see if I was ok physically I went begrudgingly thinking “eff you, I know you are implying I’m suffering from PPD and are forcing me to be diagnosed and I’m actually just tired ffs” . Bloods were taken and the results were scary, further cortisol testing was done to show I was in phase 2 burnout. I was an empty vessel with extreme deficiencies in Vit B, D, Iron and Protein, a sever leaky gut and a candida bacteria over growth that was the source of all the symptoms pointing towards postpartum distress. Extreme fatigue, irrationality, extreme mood swings, chronic headaches, evening nausea as well as a host of others that I just put towards long term breast feeding; hair loss, dry flakey skin & scalp, cracked lips and a very consistent shit mood, something my metaphysics healer referred to as “my moer meter was on high”. The biggest wake up call - it was effecting Xavi too and I knew it was time to face the facts and sort my shit out. .
So these are the things I did and the steps I took to try heal and I am still healing, each day at a time, mentally and physically.. (continued in comments)

In this interaction with RJ Padma Priya and RJ Apoorva, Dr. Ali Khwaja speaks about supporting a person who may be contemplating suicide. "Every human wishes to and has the right to live. Each and everyone has good days and bad days and we have to look for ways to come out of the bad ones. There are three stages through which people move - Helplessness, Hopelessness, and Worthless. Beyond worthlessness is where one starts to feel suicidal. These persons may give out indications of these feelings but not everyone may notice them. Two posts in one day... new me, who’s this? 😆
But seriously... as we prepare to return to work tomorrow after the weekend it is so important to remember that any day you feel ‘not okay’ is perfectly okay! Sometimes we have days when we haven’t got our shit together and life is tough but times like that will pass and better days are coming!

#Worldmentalhealthday was this week and it’s absolutely incredible that so much more is being done to spread awareness for those people who are experiencing a lot of ‘bad days’, but we need to keep up the momentum and reassure people that #itsokaynottobeokay - we need to spread this message 365 days a year, not just one! ... it’s okay not to have everything in your life running smoothly but it is important to be talking to people when you do struggle! A problem shared is a problem halved and talking (although one of the hardest things) can really help you lift a weight off your shoulder! 🌿

Yesterday was world mental health day. We saw tons of posts with the theme of “you are not alone regardless of what you are going through”. While it is easy to say, this is something that someone who is struggling will find incredibly tough to see (speaking from experience).

Today, we are telling you YOU ARE NOT ALONE. We have said this before and will say it again but Boomer is here for you. We have had lots of people reach out to us and share how Boomer has helped them. We have had people reach out during tough times to ask for pictures and videos of him. Although this may seem small, we will flood you with pictures and videos till we make you truly feel like you are not alone. As long as we have this platform, Boomer will continue to spread happ like peanut butter ❤️ Boomer is here, not just to be my emotional support doggo but all of yours too! ❤️
