One thing I’ve been working on is #dedication. Some days I wake up excited to get out there or do a workout 🏋🏼‍♀️ but often times I wake up and think, “can’t I just skip today?” There was a time in my life where rain 🌧 and snow ❄️ would’ve meant I wasn’t going for a #hike

In the past couple of months, this has changed. I bought some good gloves, put my winter jacket and boots on, and suck it up! Now I get to see beautiful winter 🥶 scenes I would’ve otherwise missed. Not to mention the joy my dog 🐶 gets!

I have spent months of my life feeling down, feeling worthless, feeling like I was never enough. It took me ALOT of time to learn that my life & perception of everything boils down to me. Waking up earlier & doing something for myself has literally brought such positivity into my life.
I now have the energy to spend time with my little dude & appreciate every single second that I’m awake and breathing. It may have taken 30 years to figure life out. I'm here waiting for my son.
Today I have kind of planned a restday.

Or actually I thought about skiing but there were snowstorm in the morning and now rainstorm so I won't. Don't wanna risk to get back the flue that is almost gone.

But my food is on point! 🤩I even turned down chips yesterday when hubby had some. So proud of myself 🥰

How many times have you given up on a fitness program, diet or general lifestyle?

If it’s too many times to remember, you’re not alone. I’ve been there!

Just speaking of New Year’s resolutions (when most health and fitness goals are set), less than 10% of those who set them actually achieve them.

One of the main reasons why most people don’t follow through with their health and fitness goals is a lack of accountability – when no one is holding them responsible to what they promised to do.

I had goals for 2019, not resolutions (I know, pretty much the same thing!) You wanna know how I reached those goals? I had a PLAN behind them and the support of an amazing accountability group!

I’m not just wishing for them to happen, I MADE them happen and I had a roadmap to follow.

Lose the last 10 lbs – yup I did it, because I have an incredible nutrition plan I can stick to and fitness programs I LOVE!

Spend more time with my family – yup I did it because I have set up specific ‘business hours’ for myself and a schedule that works for us!

Get myself healthier both mentally and physically – yup, because I’m prioritizing ‘me’ time and focusing on what my body needs and not just what’s convenient!

For me, challenge groups incorporate the missing ingredient I needed with my fitness and nutrition – ACCOUNTABILITY!

Accountability and support from like-minded ladies so YOU can have the best chance of success at reaching YOUR goals.

- Dorsiflex Your Feet! (The opposite of pointing).

When you do any floor exercises or stretching work, where you’re sitting on your butt – try and get into the habit of dorsiflexing your feet.
.
.
This makes you WORK the muscles in the back of your legs while you’re doing an exercise AND helps you avoid ‘OVER-stretching’ the muscles in the back of your legs when you’re stretching.

It’s a good habit to get into so dorsiflex, dorsiflex, dorsiflex!

HELP! Starting to get the hang of these 5am workouts and adjusting to going to work again. Man oh man that alarm sucks! ⏰ When you lift in the morning do you do it fasted or with something in your stomach? Sweaty face. Something I have never liked. I am learning to appreciate it though. It means what I am doing is working. I recently told myself, “Get it done, no excuses!!” Last week I showed up to Bootcamp class in boots and thought I had shoes in the car. I did not. But I finished the class anyway. Tonight about 10 minutes after getting to the gym I felt sick, nauseous even. So I told myself “I’m not leaving, so get it together.” Thankfully I was able to finish the workout. People laugh when I talk about me having beef with myself 😂. When I talk about old me, new me. But there’s deffo two versions. ⁣

The one that would have a bad day, feel like the world was against her. Believed she was behind. Drank a lot of wine. Overthinker of the year. Woke up at 3am stressed. Plus lots of other fun shit like having a silent cry in the shower. Suffering the odd panic attack and generally shopping 🛍 on the daily thinking stuff would make it all better. ALL the shopping. All the stuff. All the wine. ⁣

Version 2 is a bit more “fuck it, it wasn’t perfect but you are getting there”. You are doing the best you can, get a moon ritual in and change your energy. Get outside. Move. Shit, I even go to the gym because I always switch off when I’m in there (who knew that?!?). I tend to be more concerned about how I’m showing up than how that looks to someone else. ⁣

Now don’t get me wrong - I didn’t wake up one day and decide on version 2, wave a wand and ta-dah 💫💫💫 so it was. There’s times old me wants to tell new me to do one and just grab a bottle and have a moan and do a massive online order!! Times new me wants a day off to go back into old habits because they felt easier (they actually weren’t but they were on repeat for way longer so I try and convince myself they were). ⁣

So rest assured, if you are having a bit of bother making changes and thinking about giving up, don’t. It’s normal to have a bit of conflict with yourself during a change but it’s worth it. Keep going. Treat this as a sign to keep going 🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️
