Confession.......
These past five months have been really trying. Sleepless nights, frustration, tears, stress, nightmares, etc. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. Seeing me around, you would never know the turmoil that was happening in my life. But I've been taught since a child to laugh and smile to confuse the devil. His job is to kill, steal, and destroy. So I smile, to brighten others days. I laugh, because I know what lies ahead. When you know the battle is bigger than you, then it's best to put the fight in bigger hands. Just continue to trust in God and press forward. All things will work out if you have faith. These next five months will be a major shift in my favor!!! *

R E S I S T A N C E 🔥 here’s a fire workout for you to do anywhere! I knew I wanted to get a couple resistance workouts in so I brought booty bands (aka resistance bands) with me, which are a perfect alternative to lugging around heavy dumbbells. Grab a buddy or do it on your own, but I promise your muscles will be burning after the first round with this full body workout. Everything can be done with or without bands!

WORKOUT:
- perform each exercise for 30 seconds with no rest in between exercises. - after completing each round rest for 30 seconds - complete 3-5 rounds total 
1️⃣Banded Criss-Cross Squats (moving as fast as can be controlled)
2️⃣Banded Deadlifts (place band around one foot and hold with both hands, hinging at the hips and keep back and arms straight)
3️⃣Bear Hold Fire Hydrants (right side for 30, then left side for 30)
4️⃣Hip Thrusts to Abduction (squeeze the booty!!)
5️⃣Lateral Plank Walks to Tricep Push-ups (keep booty down and core right)

T R U E  L O V E 💕 just because falling in love with food isn’t normal doesn’t mean it can’t happen😏🍩 The beach brings out my  desire to have ALL the desserts possible (what even is will-power?!) We woke up early with the intent to walk on the beach/play fetch with Finley (@finleythegsd ) and then head to @duckdonuts to grab a FEW donuts. Well, our beach walk was cut short due to the fact that Finley lost the ball in the ocean, so we headed to Duck Donuts early (V quick run through on Duck Donuts - you get to make your own donut combinations, aka deadly). So, we got a liiiiiittlleeee carried away with the donut combos and ended up getting a DOZEN donuts instead of a few🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m not mad about it but I’m currently sitting here in a donut coma🤢 
Family vacations are full of traditions and this is one of ours. An early morning walk to the donut shop for breakfast. I have my goals and want to keep my progress but when it comes to vacation and family time, I’m willing to bend a bit. Though we bought a dozen I decided to do a sampling of the donuts instead of taking one... or two... or three to the face. This was a better alternative for me than depriving myself of them and salivating as I watched my family go in. What it comes down to is balance. Understand where you want to bend and where you don’t. You don’t have to be perfect with your food choices all the time to reach your goals. Trust me, I’ve come a loooooong way (one day I’ll show my progress photos lol) while not depriving myself and this is how I will continue. You don’t need fad diets or to deprive yourself, just live and eat mindfully and you’ll get there all the same! EAT THE DAMN DONUT!

S A T U R D A Y🏋🏻‍♀️ on most weekends it’s a morning to sleep in and catch up on some zzz’s... this weekend it was a  morning to get up & out of the house. I signed up for an am workout at @f45_training_plazamidwood (I’m headed to the beach so wanted to get one more studio workout in before I go!). I was EXHAUSTED, if you know me you know I love to sleep, like a lot LOL. BUT, it felt so good to start my weekend off with an intense workout and sweat out the past week. Has anyone ever looked back on getting up early and fitting in that workout and thought, eh I really wish I didn’t do that? NO! I mean its not always fun in the moment, but that post-workout high is everythingggg. I always come back with the MOST energy and my boyfriend just looks at me like I’m CRAZY... I kind of am🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyway, the moral of this post is that I truly never regret getting up early and fitting that workout in on the weekends...or anytime really. Next time your alarm goes off and you lay there thinking “hm maybe not today”... JUST GET UP AND GET OUT! I’m telling you you’ll be so much happier you did.

For those who don't know, pauses when benching are one of the best way to increase your  strength on bench. By pausing you kill the momentum and you're just using pure strength to press the bar. Of course it's really taxing on the CNS(Central Nervous System) especially when you go heavy. For those who don't know, pauses when benching are one of the best way to increase your strength on bench. By pausing you kill the momentum and you're just using pure strength to press the bar. Of course it's really taxing on the CNS(Central Nervous System) especially when you go heavy.
