This is what daily action number three SHARE looks like at it's very best!
These women have known me since I was 12. For those of you counting... that's more than 40 years.
There's not much we haven't been through together.
And still it's been more than ten years since we've done a girls away weekend!
We see each other for our annual cookie exchange weekend in Seattle but there's something about getting away, to someplace new and a vacation rental that includes a hot tub!

Having a good hair day😋 this year has been a crazy one and I sometimes forget to just stop; and be thankful. It's hard for an empath, like me, to not be brought down by those around me especially when I have been manipulated or taken advantage of. I have a big heart, wear my emotions on my sleeves, thank God I have a strong support team, great new job, amazing hair dresser, big nose and glasses and I'm happy😍 look out world I'm coming for you! .

I talk lot about fueling our bodies with a ton of colorful food groups...

And just as important is filling our bodies with 💦 - let's hydrate people!

Here's my water on the daily!
💦 1st thing when I get out of bed.
💦 During & after my workout.
💦 With my lunch.
💦 And 1 more before dinner.

Then I'll treat myself to sparking water, kombucha or if I'm at a party, maybe I'll have a beer in the evening! 😍

The more you choose hustle, late nights, fast food, etc. over your health & happiness, the easier it is to stay stuck in that loop.⁣⁣

You get to decide to make your health a priority WITH your business—not one or the other.⁣⁣

⚡️Here’s a simple & powerful process I walk my clients through to begin ending the cycle of stress, exhaustion, gaining weight, and frustration that you’re trapped in.⁣⁣

1️⃣Write out your goal SPECIFICALLY (ex. lose 15lbs)⁣⁣
2️⃣Get clear on WHY your goal is important to you (ex. feel more confident, clothes fit better, run around with your kids, etc)⁣⁣
3️⃣Write out in detail how it will change your life—personal, work, social, family, etc. (ex. more energy, more focus, more present w/family)⁣⁣
4️⃣Be REAL w/ yourself & list your current priorities in order (biz, travel, family, etc.)⁣⁣
5️⃣Write out how prioritizing your health & fitness will affect your current priorities (feel amazing while traveling, make more sales, more energy to be a better partner, etc)⁣⁣
6️⃣Dig deep & get clear on the stories you keep telling yourself that are keeping you stuck (I don’t have time, I don’t know how to start, It will take too long, etc)⁣⁣
7️⃣BURN dat mofuggin list!☝🏻🔥⁣⁣
8️⃣Rewrite your list of priorities in the order you KNOW they need to be in to be your BEST SELF.⁣⁣

Now you’ve gotten clear on your goal(s), WHY they’re important to you, what’s been in your way, and HOW your life will improve when you reach that goal.⁣⁣

I love learning and it's a good thing because as you will hear on this week's podcast, it's a daily habit that can help prevent dementia and Alzheimer's.
This isn't a passive "learning" (like listening to our podcast is). It's ACTIVE learning and challenging your brain to create neural plasticity. You have to work your brain out! Daily.
If it's easy for you, then you need to step it up. Challenge your brain in different ways.
For instance learning a new hobby that requires hand-eye coordination is a great way to challenge different parts of your brain.
We also share some fun side notes...like did you know that chewing gum increases blood flow to the brain?
Tune in for more information on brain health habits and tips for creating the habit of READING. (So good for your brain).

I remember so well when our little ones were about 2-3 years old...Asking "Why" was BIG, daily and on repeat.😂
..
Really at any age we all have the desire to know Why.
..
My take on why we all ask "why" is having the satisfaction of learning, understanding, and deciding if it's something we need, want, have or decide to pass on in our lives.
..
Why do I
•Wake up earlier than my kids.
•80% of the time have my water bottle & a bag full of food on hand.
•Usually pass on alcoholic beverages.
• Move my body in some way daily.
• Sleep 7 hours +
• Respectively decline social events not because I don't want to go. But, because I know my body/mind need a rest.
•Listen to podcasts and audio books that focus on building me.
•Smile, smiling bring smiles.
..
All because these are actions that will give me a life, a healthy life for myself, Marc, our kiddos, and hopeful to leave a positive impact on the people who I meet.❤️

I think anxiety is one of the most misunderstood mental health problems in the world today. If you or someone you know suffers from anxiety, remind yourself that being busy managing your mind is 💯% OK!
Remember that even anxious thoughts are just thoughts and you can step outside your brain and look at those thoughts with your "scientist hat" on. "Oh, look at what my brain is trying to tell me. Wow that's interesting that my brain went there. I'm having anxious thoughts that aren't really true, my brain's just throwing things out there. And just because I think it doesn't make it true."
This is the kind of thought work I do whenever anxious thoughts enter my brain. Or any other thoughts that keep me from trying to change habits that don't serve me. (Side note: it's pretty much a daily practice as my brain seems to have a LOT of negative thoughts about myself and/or my business,body,lifeingeneral.🤔) Do you have anxiety?

Self-care is important and sometimes that means telling people you're busy. ❤️💙💚💜💛.

Habit Based Lifestyle

They say a picture 📸 is worth a thousand words.⁣

This Date night turned into a shit show⁣

This picture was taken 10 minutes before we got into an argument that ruined our Date.⁣

The picture looks perfect doesn’t It.⁣

Pictures are not always reality.⁣

You can definitely fake It no one will ever know.⁣

This was our date night last Friday night.⁣

Yet we ended up arguing about being on our phones.⁣

Anyone else ever done this?💁‍♀️⁣

All the shit that went on during the week.⁣

Who else holds It in?🤚⁣

Who was to blame.⁣

Which one of us not showing up at home.⁣

Which one of us not showing up in the business.⁣

We ended up in a heated argument about me posting something in a group that hurt Katies feelings.⁣

Katie ended up crying.⁣

I kept arguing and not taking responsibility.⁣

In fact the servers at restaurant kept coming by to make sure everything was okay.⁣

On our way home we barely talked.⁣

I ended up going to bed, Katie ended up staying up.⁣

Here’s the problem.⁣

The problem is we run a Marriage Bootcamp still have arguments and we still fight.⁣

Yet most people think you’re not supposed to fight if you do this.⁣

They think your relationship is perfect, like you have It all figure out.⁣

And yet there’s a part of me that doesn’t want to be vulnerable and tell the story.⁣

This story may sound familiar to you because It has happened to you.⁣

Nothing ever gets solved playin the victim and blaming the other person.⁣

There is a way to stop the cycle.⁣

You have to be committed to getting what you want, instead of committed to being right.⁣

You have to be willing to take responsibility for your actions and how you respond.⁣

Our Marriage isn’t about being perfect and never fighting or arguing.⁣

It’s about fighting for what we want and sometimes that means having crucial conversations.⁣

Tears, crying, pain, frustration, getting uncomfortable and pissed off.⁣

This all represents growth and expansion in our Marriage.⁣

Did you know when I started coaching it was just for the discount?! I was already working out, and drinking shakeology, but thought I would save some money. Money was tight so why not help save myself some every month. .
I watched other coaches earn trips and earn an income from just helping people like me!! So I thought why not give it a shot?!? I had nothing to lose!! And you know what?!? This has been a true lesson for me.
Until I started this passion project, Five for Life|, I don't know if I really understood that failure is to be expected. It's a part of the journey and not the end of the road.
Maybe I've just never put myself out there in such a manifest way.
I want to encourage you to be compassionate and curious with yourself as you experience failure.
No matter what your goals are...when you fail, fail forward and learn what you can.
Get up. Start over. Move on.
And EXPECT it to happen again. 👍

We really do not realize the power of words and at times unknowingly utter them within a matter of few seconds. Maybe later on, realization hits us that they shouldn't have rolled off our tongues. Not just words but sometimes our reactions to certain situations leading to unexpected outbursts of emotions.
But you know; i do not intend this write-up in leading to some sort of life advices like 'think before you speak' or 'mind your language' or 'keep a check on your emotions'. But rather Its a request to do a small task. Just like each passing day you try to grow as an individual by incorporating a new habit or building a routine, maybe this too could be a part of your life. So here goes -
"I understand." "I am there for you."
"I'm listening."
"I believe in you." Yup that's all you have to do. Just be a support to someone and say these when anyone who comes up to you and trusts you with their worst fears. Be it a stranger or a closed one, whether you have certain attachments to them or not, whether you have expectations something from them or not; it doesn't matter. Just do this little small act. It might be insignificant to you but your non-judgemental reaction and those words would mean the world to them because you may be unaware of the issues someone is dealing with and probably this habit might have a great positive impact.
Even if one person reading this starts implementing it I'm sure slowly and steadily each one of us would contribute towards creating a healthier living for all.

Just a pup and his pool.😊
We've always wanted a water dog and we think we may have got one. 💧💧🐾🐾🐶🐶
So happy for a sunny September Saturday that's allowing Kirby the wonderpup to play in his pool some more.
Swipe right for his post play sunbathing pose.
It's been work having a new puppy again...not gonna lie, but he brings a lot of joy and laughter too.
Pretty soon he'll be fully vaccinated and we can't wait to take him out to the park and explore some creeks and rivers too. 🏞
I'm going to chalk this up to daily habit number four today. I'm grateful for

I am spilling my guts a bit today, I have been under the pretense that I should be far past feelings of insecurity.⁣
How can I expect to help others be healthy, happy, and balanced if I am hiding behind a Mask?⁣

Do you find days when you say to yourself I don’t give a damn, and then others when the feelings of “I am not as good as…” come crashing down?⁣
..⁣
I have told my, self “Grow Up,” but there are days I can’t seem to beat the Ego. (It is EGO - It is FEAR ). Why? Because, frankly there are far bigger issues than my damn insecurities.⁣
..⁣
I need to own and lean into my goofiness, discomfort, and strengths. The past week I allowed others perceptions and questions get to me personally. ⁣
However, we must be honest and know many push their pain deep within and continue to put their shield up and mask of “perfection” on so as not to be found out. It is tough always to feel the need to prove ourselves worthy of others time and attention.⁣
..⁣
Hell, I am far from smart (whatever the hell that is) but damn it I’ve been trying to let on that I am. I will continue to learn, always find the answer, and lead you in the right direction if I do not have the answer.⁣

I care too much, instead of allowing things to flow, I “try” too damn hard. ⁣

Conquering my mind first and foremost and acknowledging that everything can always get better, never settling, never stopping at ok, were first things I did for me to get that state of rejuvenation. I feel renewed. And yes, Seriously I feel 25 in this body of 52. But I think yet again, it can always be better— just keep on pushing!

Quick workout and then off to my first appointment with @runlabaustin. Broke a sweat while working on improving my running gait and even have some homework.

As for my progress so far, today is the first time I weighed in under 180 at 179. Down over 43 lbs since the end of February. I can honestly say, I haven’t weighed this little since maybe sometime in middle school. ~25 years...crazy to this about it that way. .

Stop making things complicated! You really don't need to measure every single thing you eat, or time your meals exactly to the minute, or train every single day. I can promise you, if you try to do too much at once, you're going to most likely fall of the band wagon. How do I know? Because I've also been there!

I remember back in the day I would tell myself I was going to get "shredded" and healthy and would read a "health" book cover to cover in one day and then jump all in....to fall off the wagon because it was too damn stressful after a month tops!

I finally learned more and more about my body and decided I was just going to make small changes over a longer period of time to reach my goals. Best part is that I look and feel better than I ever have before. Yes, it's taken longer to get here, but I know I can keep it going and hold onto my sanity!

I heard this quote today on a podcast and it just resonated with me.
I have been evaluating my "habits" lately and WOW!
I feel like my "wrong" habits have been around for a really long time and my "right" habits seem to be a lot less hard-set.
Like barely hanging on.

I got to wondering what would my life be like if those "right" habits were what had stuck around over time.
And then I heard that quote.
I thought no better time than now to "turn around" on some of the wrong paths I have been following.
Tomorrow's a new month and I am ready to be accountable and push myself to be consistent with all of my "right habits" and to turn around from the wrong roads.

It's never our circumstances, problems or situation... ALL that matters is how we CHOOSE to react. I've been trying to turn my REACTIONS into thoughtful RESPONSES instead. I'll have to be honest... it's kind of changed my life! I didn't realize how much my instincts and sub couscious way of thinking truly impact my everyday decisions! Truly getting a grip on my thoughts, self talk and mental attitude have helped shift my life over this past year! @msrachelhollis has been such a HUGE inspiration to me on how to actually accomplish this and helped so much in seeing how much being more positive can TRULY change your life! ❤ I encourage you all to stop and think for 5 seconds the next time you go to react. Ask yourself " Am I reacting or am I responding? Is this truly how I feel or is it just coming from habit?" Our thoughts create our habits and our habits create our life.

Truly getting a grip on my thoughts, self talk and mental attitude have helped shift my life over this past year! @msrachelhollis has been such a HUGE inspiration to me on how to actually accomplish this and helped so much in seeing how much being more positive can TRULY change your life! ❤ I encourage you all to stop and think for 5 seconds the next time you go to react. Ask yourself " Am I reacting or am I responding? Is this truly how I feel or is it just coming from habit?" Our thoughts create our habits and our habits create our life.

Jon’s 5 Non-Negotiable Daily Lifestyle Habits

I live by these 5 habits. I know these may seem a bit trite or played out, but I actually live by these! And we all know consistency one of the most important factors for staying in shape. By making these lifestyle habits second nature for the last 10-12 years I’ve been able to improve my health and fitness while watching others go in the other direction all around me. There is obviously a lot more to it than this, but these are bang-for-the-buck habits I’ve used to create a solid foundation for my health and fitness:
.
1️⃣ Drink at least a gallon of water per day (I typically get around 5-6 litres).
.
2️⃣Eat protein at every meal and snack.
.
3️⃣Eat high fibre foods as much as humanly possible (particularly vegetables).
.
4️⃣Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night and take your sleep hygiene seriously !
.
5️⃣Exercise 3 days per week at minimum, with any exercise above and beyond that as a bonus.

SENTIRSE Y SER LIBRE | En mi opinión para sentirse y ser libre nuestros pensamientos y acciones deben tener y darnos sentido, ese mismo que en el proceso creará propósitos sólidos que nos den motivos y den claridad, al estar claros en que hacer, por donde caminar, las experiencias de felicidad y libertad serán mas constantes en nuestra vida.
He aprendido desde mis errores y fracasos que lo que decida hacer en mi vida debe tener sentido, que desde mi imperfección, mis palabras contengan verdad, que mi tiempo contenga comprensión, tolerancia y paciencia, que mis acciones contengan empatía.
Si prestamos atención a los detalles en nuestras experiencias conseguiremos respuestas claras al por qué darle un valor inigualable a cada vida.
Tengo la certeza que muchos comprenden lo escrito y viven de esta manera ¿cierto? 👍🏻
