I was beyond excited to be going to Kleinfeld Manhattan! 👰🏻😍 I ended up getting a New York layover for work. I decided to look online to see if there were any available appointments. I thought it would be a slim chance as I was flying home on the Friday around 2pm. I looked about 2 weeks prior and the only appointment available was at 9:30am on the Friday which was absolutely perfect but unexpected as I was thinking they wouldn’t open until 10 or 11am. It was fate! I decided I couldn’t go without my mom being there with me as she loves the show “Say Yes To The Dress”! 👰🏻 Not only that, but she had never been to New York! So she decided to come and spend a quick 17 hours with me in NYC!🗽 We got in late at night and I told her she couldn’t go to NYC without seeing Times Square lit up so we went into Manhattan to have dinner at Lillie’s, a famous Times Square restaurant/bar. We then walked around Times Square so she could see it all lit up. 🌃 We got back to the hotel so late and were up bright and early for my appointment at Kleinfeld!
I have to say, it is an experience from the moment you walk into the shop. 👰🏻🥰 You go up to the reception desk to check in for your appointment and they have a very large seating area where you wait for your consultant. They have extremely high ceilings and everything looks very grande. And they have a Kleinfeld photo booth set up to use for fun while you wait!
My consultant, Mindy, came to get us to bring us into the salon. She asked if we’d like to be in the main salon which is very out in the open where other brides would be or if I’d like to be in a more private space. I said that I didn’t mind being in the salon. She took us to our section and got my mom seated on our couch area and Mindy took me to my fitting room, which was so cute. It was just like on the show! 💕

Trying to find “THE” dress while going through treatment was really hard. I didn’t feel comfortable in my own body - no hair, frankenfoobs, weight gain - every time I looked at myself in a dress I just saw cancer. I didn’t see bride. It was hard to get excited about the wedding when cancer clouded everything.
Now, seeing myself, I see the love I have for Timmy and all that our love has conquered. I’m finally feeling like a BRIDE and finally letting myself get excited for my WEDDING! AHHHH! 70 days to go🥰👰🏼💍🤵🏽 #CheersToTheCheadles #WhittysTittyCommittee
