Your mental health does not define you! 
From personal experience, I know how easy it is to get lost in your own mind. To get so caught up in the tricks it plays on you, to feel like you’re drowning and to loose all sense of self. But we cannot let our mental illness take away from who we really are. Realising you are seperate from your illness is the first step to getting back in control. Learning to differentiate what is real and what is in your own mind is the biggest and hardest step of all, yet incredibly crucial. It can help to bring you back down to earth and remember who you really are 🧡

Ok so I’ve come to the conclusion that my anxiety is like bacteria and it breeds in the heat, I think it’s because I’m so warm and already irritated and feeling exhausted that anything could tip me over the edge. We’re having a rare humid hot week in the UK and I’m finding myself quite paranoid, forgetful and agitated. Plus it’s currently 5:40am and I’m still not asleep so I’ve decided to start taking my sleeping pills again and use @headspace more regularly to meditate. What does everyone else do when they realise their anxiety is heightened?

New week! New chance to move the needle in the direction toward who we want to become. 👇

Lately, I’ve been making sure my future aspirations are compelling..

I think it’s important to visualize a future so sweet that it makes all the short term sacrifice and hard work more than worth it.

After some morning breathing, I’ve been taking a few extra minutes to visualize the future I’m hoping to create. It’s as easy as feeling as if everything I want is already here, and taking the time to feel the emotions associated with that.

(There’s developing science proving that visualization has an impact on our actual biology)
-
It’s easy to push through stormy waters if you know where you’re going. 🧠Visualization is a great tool that can be like a compass to reminds us where we’re going!

Been a bit quiet over here recently...so just wanted to check in with y’all with a reminder that it’s ok to check out every once in a while 😜 We all have a certain amount of head space and energy and that means knowing when you have to pull back and learning to say no to the things that aren’t serving you right now. It’s necessary to get back into the flow yo! ✨ mega tings have been happening over at @digitalyogaacademy that make my heart so happy and full of love 💗 creating my dreams and enjoying every moment. So a reminder to focus on your dreams and put your energy there. Everything else - whether that’s Instagram or whatever - can wait! Have a beaut day people, get out and enjoy the sunshine ☀️ you can create a life of purpose, keep doing, keep believing, I love you 😘

How you doing? 
In society we are trained to take really good care of our physical health, it’s ingrained in us. However we need to care for our mental health with the same level of urgency as we do our physical. 
As women, we have the power to create a wave of conversation to evoke change. Being someone with a visible difference often people are focused on my physical health, what they can see, yet the far bigger battle has always been within my head. 
Trying not to let judgements, bullies or sly comments affect my confidence, those voices in my head that would translate into “I’m not enough”. But we can change this! If we go back and change or reprogram our conversations in our families, our friendship groups and the workplace we can force mental health to be treated with the same level of urgency as our physical health.

Because if we can reprogram this, if we can learn the importance of positive self-talk and instil healthy self-talk practices and help align a positive headspace within everyone we can then change how much we can achieve and how much we value ourselves and each other 🖤
