I like pairing opposing muscle groups together to save time and effectively work each muscle group more effectively without being too fatigued. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
I give myself a little rest in between the exercises and sets to ensure im well recovered and able to hit my intended weight/ rep goal!

Today’s workout kicked my ass! Did a 1-hour @fitbodybyashley YouTube cardio dance video - I hadn’t done this one in almost a year, and I can tell how out of shape I am compared to the last time I did it. I had to keep reminding myself that I just had a baby (including major abdominal surgery) just over 6-weeks ago… so I need to give myself a little more grace. No fancy training program right now. Whenever i go into the gym i utilize the food ive been eating as fuel. Main goal is to exhaust the targeted muscle as much as possible. So I’ll increase the weight to where I can do over 12 reps controlled as heavy as possible!😝

Today, the date reads 2019.

Friend, I’m thankful for every breath I’m gifted. Still down 70 pounds, I could not in a million years scripted my life as it is today 
Because, if I had, I would not have even scratched the surface of just how blessed I feel, hopeful I am, and thankful to God for never stopping pursuit of me.

These past many years have been the most profoundly impactful years of my life. Why? Because seasons of preparation often are, if we are willing to see them that way.

Two years ago, I started down a narrow path to get healthy and to stay healthy. I had one mantra and that was to keep moving forward.

So, I got active outwardly all the while I began to get surrendered inwardly. To me, it’s the only path that leads to transformative change that is sustainable. 
Today, I am Humbled. Blessed. Thankful. Hopeful. Still 70 pounds lighter. And so filled with appreciation. 
Today, life is short. Here’s not to just the next year, but here’s to that next breath. 
Today, the date reads 2019. 
Tomorrow, the date reads: gift

It is something that is severely lacking to where many people place their responsibility upon others. It's not enough just to go through the motions of life; you must take control of it and steer it in the direction you want it to go. Quit taking the passenger seat to your life; we must become the driver because that is when you will see growth and internal satisfaction.
