With it being that time of year and with a busy weekend coming up which results in me boarding a flight to the US. The normal schedule is out the window. A late run yesterday of around 11km just plodding around after a couple of higher effort sessions this week. Today hopefully a short intervals at max effort before an easy Saturday and not very long Sunday run due to travelling.
The running stuff is already in the case for next week but not sure there will be much chance to get out and about in chilly Maryland. But I’ll try and clock some miles if I can.
Real benefit of travelling out will be the 16 hours day on a plane with a training plan to write for 2020 🤔

I did steady state cardio today but that’s boring no one cares... it’s 3 am I’m stressed & can’t sleep I have to be up in 4 hours but I’m looking at my old progress photos, what’s the opposite of progress? bc that’s what I’ve been doing, I looked so much better 6 months ago but progress is not linear it will be okay.. If you go to bed at night and close your eyes and try to will yourself to sleep, you're in for a fight. The longer that fight goes on, the less likely you are to sleep and when you eventually do, it's probably not going to be good quality sleep. ⁣

Much like a weight loss goal, you shouldn't focus solely on the outcome you're trying to achieve. ⁣

You need to focus on the process that leads to the outcome. ⁣


Get in to a good bedtime routine, start winding down an hour before you want to head to bed. Do things that help you relax and de-stress. ⁣


Put your phone away and read a few chapters of a book.⁣

Switch the TV off and meditate.⁣

Have a bath.⁣

Put a sleep story on (The 'Calm' app is amazing for this).⁣

Do whatever it is that you know helps you relax and unwind and slip off in to sound, good quality slumber.⁣

Si yo pensaba que nonse podía sudar más que en las rutinas que he hecho hasta ahora estaba muy equivocada jajajajja

1h y 15 min de tren superior + ABS matadores a más no poder y si a eso le sumamos que he subido el peso de las mancuernas... mátame camión 🤣🤣🤣

Ayer me compré las de 5kg y porfín noto que trabajo en condiciones. A las pruebas me remito, he dejado la esterilla y el suelo bonicos y la botella de medio litro de agua ha quedado seca jajajaja
.
Aparte de eso, 45 min de brazos, espalda y ABS de las rutinas de patry

En definitiva, hoy aunque sea fiesta aquí se ha madrugado igual

Hold a dumbbell with both hands and arms extended . Lean back slightly and twist torso to the left, bringing dumbbell toward the floor near your hip on the left. Immediately twist to the right, keeping spine neutral and abs tight. Continue, alternating 8 to 10 times per side.

I used to say, “you can’t outrun your fork.”
-
I was wrong.
-
You can absolutely do enough cardio to create a calorie deficit and lose fat without paying much attention to your nutrition.
-
But.
-
1️⃣If you’re eating like an asshole and throttling a mega fuck ton of calories down your face hole every meal...you’re gonna have to do an outrageous amount of cardio.
-
Not 30 minutes on the elliptical.
-
Hours.
-
Hours upon hours upon hours of mind-numbing cardio to burn as many calories as possible.
-
Which, between you and me, sounds worse than getting repeatedly punched in the penis by a herd of Hippogriffs.
-
2️⃣Which makes it outrageously difficult to sustain long-term.
-
3️⃣Not to mention, it creates a terrible mental & emotional relationship with food & exercise. Because you’re essentially using exercise as a punishment to try and “undo” all the “damage” you did by eating too much.
-
And if you’re using exercise as a punishment and viewing eating too much as “doing damage,” you’re about to have a hellishly awful fitness experience.
-
4️⃣And if you’re spending all that time doing endless amounts of cardio, you probably won’t have much time or energy to strength train.
-
And while some cardio is wicked important and tremendously beneficial for many reasons, so is lifting heavy weights. And doing some of both is better than either alone.

So.

Moral of the story?

1) Don’t use cardio as your primary means of creating a calorie deficit. Nutrition is king for fat loss.

2) Don’t put yourself in a situation that puts you in danger of getting repeatedly punched in the dongle by a herd of Hippogriffs.

My workout routine consists of a strength workout at the gym 4x a week and 2 days of cardio (Boxing or thinking to get into Jiu Jitsu)🧡with 1 recovery day per week. Since I am working out 6 days per week again, it is important to eat well and have restful sleep🌟I like to make sure I am getting at least 7-9 hours of a sleep at night and I take @naturalfactors PharmaGaba to conquer stress and help me relax at night💃🏻 I’ve been making positive changes to my fitness routine to reach my body goals! 🍎🍉🍌

HIIT workouts are one of my favourite ways to train. They are short, sweet and to the point whilst challenging yourself to push through 10-20 minutes of intense overload. While they are certainly not for the faint of heart, they definitely can be part of a great training program as they not only develop the anaerobic system, but also have aerobic benefits as well
.
They burn a ton of calories, preserve muscle mass, and can be done anywhere anytime. Generally, I like a work:rest ratio of either 1:1 or 1:0.5 (really extreme, but gets the job done). What ratio someone uses strongly depends on their time, goals, and fitness level. I highly suggest a ratio of 1:2 or more for beginners to allow for ample rest and play with the ratios as they see fit to their fitness level and progress

✖️If you have been following my #workoutwednesday classes you have seen my obsession with #tracyandersonmethod and today I finally got to workout in studio 💪🏼 And it was absolutely amazing, the experience was super different since the room is heated.
✖️Training with heat and humidity has numerous benefits .
✖️With sweat the body releases toxins and improves tone and elasticity. The heat. For its part, it keeps the muscles warm, ready to move and much more malleable! .
