Today's session was by far the best from this week considering i wasn't moving so well on Mon-Thrs.

I'm so happy with this session because i'm extremely bad at doubles/triples regardless of the weight on the bar.
2 more weeks of volume then ill get to peaking phase after a deload week.

And here we have it ladies and gents my 70kg LOG PRESS PB‼️‼️ weighing 56kg bodyweight I am gobsmacked, amazed, proud and just so happy right now! I told Rhi that I wanted a 70kg log press but wasn’t sure if I was being overly ambitious with this goal.... proof here that in just 6 weeks I have managed to increase my log press by 10kg as well as come back fighting from a shoulder injury and just continue to soar! Words can’t describe how good I feel right now I’ve worked so hard for this and it has consisted of a lot of volume work and intensity but put yourself through that and THIS is what WILL get you the results I am so grateful for the detail that Rhi and Luke put into my training to get me to that standard I am at today. I’m not very good on many events within this sport but this by far is truly my strongest and most favourite to do by far! As summer is approaching, more people are interested in how they can maintain their strength in powerlifting, but also look like a bad bitch in a bikini.⁣

I’ve seen a lot of confusion around this topic and I wanted to offer a coach’s perspective.⁣

Is it possible? It depends.⁣
➡️ What is your current body fat percentage and what is your target?⁣
➡️ What are your current 1RM’s?⁣
➡️ Are you wanting to continue gaining strength? Are you okay with losing strength?⁣
➡️ How soon do you want to achieve these goals?⁣
➡️ Are you a male or female?⁣
➡️ How efficient is your metabolism?⁣
➡️ Are you an elite lifter or are you a beginner? ⁣

EXAMPLE ONE⁣
❓Cynthia is sitting around 25% body fat and wants to get to 20% body fat in the next 4-5 months⁣

I’ve seen a lot of confusion around this topic and I wanted to offer a coach’s perspective.⁣

Just a little progress update 💕👾 Feeling and looking pretty good for being on tour. ⁣⁣

The only thing I could be doing better is more discipline with nutrition (and less drinking), but training is nearly spot on and I’m finally getting my strength back after this past year. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I’ll also be back on my marathon cycle this week finally. 👽 Had to take 3 weeks off after my stress fracture, but just went and bought new / better running shoes for my little flat feet and feeling so ready to start hating running again hahahahaha. 😋

If I’m gonna spend $180 on a bikini, I better start going to the beach more 😒 *only slightly regretting this* but I bought it as a pre-reward for reaching my 148# goal for competition weight. .

Never mind that I just gained back 5 pounds since my grandma’s been here visiting me and eating dessert every single day lmfao. .

So anyways here are my current measurements/ check-ins:
Weight- 156.6 (even tho I should be at 150 lmfao — only reason I’m not worried about tracking this week w/ family is because I’m in the middle of marathon training)

Waist- 29
Hips- 35
Glutes- 40.5
Thigh- 24.15

I’m trying to not compare to my bikini comp measurements because I want a more bad ass look than my show days, but I definitely find myself constantly comparing to them anyways. Ideally I’ll just be less of a chunky potato in my waist and more of a chunky potato in my legs and back. 😈😝 I’d like the numbers to look more like 11.5 / 26 / 32 / 40 / 22 @ 148 and ~18% bf.

Вчера мне удалось установить свой личный рекорд в поднятии гантели на бицепс в скамье Скота. Первый подход: 60кг☑️ Второй подход: 70кг☑️. Примечание: во втором подходе слишком поторопился из-за этого с первой попытки не удалось поднять этот вес. Но какой ты тогда спортсмен если после первой неудачной попытки ты сразу сдаёшься и ломаешься?🙂Именно эти мысли были у меня в голове в тот момент. Благодаря самокритике и выполнил свой подход)) Конечно без бешеной поддержки своих друзей спортсменов, у меня бы ничего не получилось. А смысл этого видео в том что даже если у тебя не получилось что то в жизни с первой попытки, собери всю волю в кулак, и пробуй дальше! Делай пока это у тебя не получится. I don’t know about you, but the leaner I get, the more I start to experience body dysmorphia.⁣

This has definitely been a problem with me in the past and I know it’s a problem for some of my clients.⁣

When you start leaning out, you’ll write off how good you actually look as a “lie” or “lighting” or “posing” or sometimes you just straight up don’t see it. ⁣

I’m somewhere in between these two images now and to be honest with you, looking at them side by side, I think I look like a bad ass in both, but I also didn’t realize fully how I looked in either.⁣

In fact I was so upset because I wanted abs (on the right) and didn’t think I had them. I don’t fully understand why it is I never saw them, but legit, going back to my memories of how I looked then, it was pretty much exactly how I see myself now.⁣

I think the best thing to do is appreciate yourself, respect yourself, and just live your damn life — don’t put your entire days’ focus on cardio, abs, cutting, meals, and lifting. That’s actually how I developed BED — cutting was my only focus and the gym became my only hobby.⁣

How I look has nothing to do with how I do competitively, so having abs is just fun now— not a necessity to win a competition and it’s definitely made this journey more exciting.⁣

Anywho, I feel good and I look good. I look in the mirror and I’m not mad at what I see. 😋 And the best part about this whole thing is I’m able to cut for the first time in 5 years without my past struggles with food having any effect on me. 😈⁣

AND I PROMISE WHEN I GET ABS I WILL SEE THEM AND SHOWCASE THEM JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER INSTA MODEL. ⁣

So anywho, if you’re struggling with body dysmorphia, take a step back and realize you have a body so that you can experience awesome things on this Earth — you don’t have a body just so you can experience your body alone.⁣

While having abs might get you more attention, attention only goes so far. What about the experiences? Live ur life and stop feeling bad for yourself if you’re not where you want to be yet (you will be just relax and live). 🌈

My thoughts on drinking alcohol, eating like an asshole, and fitness. 🍵⁣

You may have seen my story— I’m finally feeling a little less bloated from higher sodium intake (from fast food) being on the road and of course last night I went out and had a drink or five (or six + two slices of veggie pizza) 🍻🍻🥃⁣

This is where macro and calorie management comes into play with your progress.⁣

Fun fact: there are a few studies out there that had people guess what their caloric intake was each day and almost every single person was off, and oftentimes by 1,000+ calories.⁣

In one specific weight loss study, almost every woman trying to lose weight estimated that they ate ~1200-1500 kcals per day and they were actually eating almost DOUBLE that at ~2400-3000 kcals.⁣

This is one of the reasons I start out all of my clients with learning how to track calories and macros; it teaches portion control and the importance of proteins, carbs, and fats and they’re responsibilities for maintaining optimal health.⁣

You also learn how to manipulate your meals so you can drink 3 cheladas, 2 beers, a sake shot, and two slices of veggie pizza. AKA me last night. 😈 Swipe to see the aftermath from my hotel room pre-game.⁣

1 day out of 7 may look like this, but the rest of my week overrules this (but ONLY bc I have a properly programmed nutrition plan). ⁣

The other six days consist of gallon water bottles, micronutrient-packed foods, and a caloric deficit that allows for me to still lose fat even with one night of drinking and eating like an asshole.⁣

We’re all human, including me and it would be BS for me to not share this part of my life with you. It’s not the HEALTHIEST thing you could do, but it’s not going to be harmful in moderation either.⁣

Most of us enjoy a drink every once in a while and if it makes your quality of life feel improved in some way, then live your best life. ⁣

This is my advice on how to manage your nutrition and mindset going into it and while many holistic coaches may disagree with me, I don’t care. Knowing how to manage weekends makes your life more enjoyable while still being a bad bitch and dominating your fitness goals.👾
