It’s hard for me to imagine how happy he actually were when he saw his new reading nook’s been set up. Forever snuggling and kept asking me and dad for more, and to take turns to read📚. There’re a lot of effort involved in creating different reading nooks in our home, from the light tone to the whole room design integration, eventually his Dad and I decided to keep most of his books, AND our books down to the home office/library, and we rotate the ones in season regularly📖. Some of the books were bought, some great ones are fresh from @fortleelibrarykids
Raising a English- Chinese bilingual kid is challenging. I want him to learn Chinese is neither because he is American-Chinese so he suppose to, nor because Chinese language will be very popular in next decades. The only reason I want him to be the master of both languages is because, I want him to be capable to FEEL the beauty of different culture, to RESPECT the rhythms of different perspectives, and eventually to CREAT an amazing stuff to this world, a beautiful product/ art piece/ business which can go far beyond gender, geography, and race.
So, 🎄Christmas is around the corner, I’m thinking about to read some holiday books for him. Any suggestions? What are you currently reading to your little ones? 📚在新家我给自己安排的最重要的任务就是要给孩子把读书的环境搞好，废了很多很多时间和心血。原来本来想搞一个大书架在每个房间，但最后决定还是将中文和英文的书都放在一楼图书馆里头。孩子从小在美国长大，对于中文和传统文化难免会接触的少，作为父母的我们没有办法偷懒，言传身教，家庭影响，是唯一的出路，谁都代替不了你去感受和引领你的孩子的思想。我倒不觉得他是因为东方人的血脉才应该学好中文，或是说是因为未来的世界会中文一定会很吃香。我是希望他可以在不同的语言里，深刻感受不同文化所带来的魅力，而可以沉浸在其中，发挥无限的想象力，然后可以在这世界上创造出更美好的，超越性别，超越地狱，超越种族的作品来📚。 .

Today is about my in-laws and their tremendous ❤️. After baby Harvey was arrived, their original short-stay plan became an almost 2-year accompany. I appreciate them in many ways. Dad is a super chef and especially makes amazing soup. Mom is one of the most caring and coolest person to be with. And, they both speak #Shanghainese, a dialect of Chinese (no, very different from #mandarin and needs time to learn and understand), which brings a lot of traditional legacy of Chinese culture into our house🏡. Do we ever got into fight? Absolutely. Just like any other family does. Plus, 3 generations living under the same roof, what do you think?? But that doesn’t mean that we don’t love each other, we do. We respect each other’s differences and we fill whatever gaps with mutual understanding and love💕. Today they’re going back to #shanghai to take a break, so we had a fairway lunch at #aquariusfortlee @fortleebda 🥢🥡 .
Baby felt asleep, peacefully. I’m so glad that I captured this moment, as it would always reminds me, #loveneverfails 💕 🥟今天奶奶爷爷要回上海了，谢谢你们这么多时日的爱，所有的爱🥟。

ПП ПАСТИЛА
Нам понадобится:
•творог 5% - 400 гр;
• желатин быстрорастворимый - 20 гр;
• молоко 2,5% - 200 мл;
• подсластитель по вкусу;
• ванилин - 1 пакетик.
⠀
🌿Желатин залить тёплым молоком на 20 мин, перемешать. Дождаться, чтобы желатин растворился в единую массу.
В отдельной чаше смешать творог, ванилин, сахзам (у меня пребиосвит 6 гр) и добавить желатин с молоком.
Все прокрутить в блендере.
разлить по формам и убрать в холодильник на несколько часов.

Можно полить шоколадом без сахара: Для этого пол плитки шоколада разогреть на водяной бани и добавить 2-3 ст.л 10% сливок и все перемешать до однородности.
Уже холодную и схватившуюся пастилу, поставить на решетку, снизу тарелочку и полить растопленным шоколадом. Убрать в холодильник.

Honestly, before I was pregnant with @jessbebes, I knew almost nothing about babies, except from what I saw in the movies, e.g. they cry and pee a lot, they make funny voices, etc. I certainly didn’t know (they don’t put this in the movies) 👉 that newborns have weak immune system, so during their first year, they’re at their most vulnerable to illnesses and therefore need everything to be super clean. 🙀💫 Did I freak out? Of course I freaked out. I freak out easily about things that could potentially harm my babies (in this case: viruses, bacterias, parasites 🦠🤮). I know it’s impossible to create a super sterile environment at home, but the least I can do is to make sure that my babies’ feeding equipments are thoroughly cleaned AND sterilized.
There are some ways of sterilizing, such as boiling, steaming, and the latest method is using UV light, just like this Haenim UV Sterilizer, which sanitizes AND dries. You can check out @haenim.id’s IG for the complete information about it’s other amazing features (e.g. the spacious interior can fit up to 16 bottles, it automatically switches off when the job is done, we can control it via an App 🙀👍, and more). In short, I really love how useful and stylish it is, it does its job well and looks pretty while doing it. ❤️
