Are you a tea or a coffee person?🧐 I’m a tea lover😍 after wake up, after lunch or dinner, before 💤 but I like a cup of coffee once in a while too.
The free radicals, the chemicals you get from food, drink, sunlight and your body’s internal processes, need to be controlled.
The solution: antioxidants✨ These can be found in both tea and coffee.
-Caffeine is the ingredient that can have some benefits like its powerful antioxidants, alertness, energy, better digestion, when consuming in moderation but can cause several side effects when you consume it in high doses, like messing with your quality sleep, in some people raising blood pressure due to its stimulatory effect on the nervous system etc. The solution is simple my advice is try to consume caffeine in moderation to enjoy only its benefits.
.
-My beautiful Glass coffee mug is from @netzerocompany a sustainable company💚 they plant a tree with every order so we can also support reforestation with them 🌱 .

I don’t get many rude, insensitive, or hurtful messages here, but an interesting one showed up a few days ago.
-
The DM was from a follower, and the gist was that she loves my recipes, but HATES me because she envies my body; that she eats healthy and cares about her wellness too, but can’t stand being in a swimsuit, naked in front of her s/o, and that perhaps some people find my messages helpful, but nope, not her.
-
I was mad. I was sad. And my first reaction was defense mode, because the lawyer in me will never die 🤭 I thought—wow, she obviously doesn’t know my story; how I hated my body and manipulated the way it looked for years; how as women, we should be applauding and supporting one another on our journeys even if they look different than our own; that she would really refrain from using words like “hate” to talk to people we don’t know; and how can she not see that I’m just a mom sharing the things I love?! I made it about ME.
-
I took a step back and realized that her message wasn’t about me at all—it’s someone else, struggling with their own issues, and projecting them on to me. It’s so relatable because I’ve been there. I still do it, because hello, I’m human, it’s just that the things that trigger me might look different than others. I was also reminded that no matter how good our intentions may be with content we share, we can’t please everyone, but that’s not our job anyway.
-
If you struggle with social media like I do at times, here some tips for viewing it:
-
1. If anyone triggers you, makes you feel sad, unattractive, inadequate, or unworthy—unfollow them; your mental health is #1.
2. Take what you see with a grain of salt, and don’t compare yourself to people you see on social media. I’ve learned that they often don’t look like their posts in real life anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️.
3. Look for community, or rather, accounts that give you a sense of belonging and inclusion. Exclusion and mean girls is so 1980 🤭.
4. Follow accounts that add value to your life, and/or cause to learn, grow, and expand. No value, no follow.
5. Reduce your time on social media and take breaks, which I’m starting to do, too!
